SkinPen® Microneedling

Microneedling provides fractional stimulation of the dermis and epidermis. It opens up thousands of tiny micro-channels per second in your skin. The micro-injuries trigger a release of growth factors and stimulates your fibroblasts, naturally increasing collagen and elastin production resulting in firmer and tighter skin. It also encourages blood circulation, improves cellular function and oxygenates your skin to further help with renewal and rejuvenation.

Micro-needling can significantly improve the appearance of:

Acne scars
Sun damaged and ageing skin
Facial and décolleté fine lines
Stretch marks

To obtain the best results we would recommend a course of treatment (which is dependent on the condition being treated). Normally at least three treatments are required with 4- 6 weeks in between.

Combination Treatments
1. PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)/vampire facial 
 

A favourite with the stars, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy (otherwise known as the 'vampire facial') uses your own blood to promote new skin cell growth, boost collagen production and improve circulation. We  take a small blood sample from your arm, similar to a blood test at your GP. This sample is then put into a centrifuge machine which spins the blood very quickly for 10 minutes, separating the component parts into the red blood cells, separating gel, platelets and platelet rich plasma (PRP). After the face is thoroughly cleaned the PRP is applied to the skin and injected under the skin and the Skin Pen is  used to create micro-channels to allow optimal penetration of the PRP into your skin. 
 

2. ZO Facials combined with Microneedling

Depending on individual skin concerns it maybe recommended to combine microneedling with one of our ZO facials.

  • Anti Ageing:  We use high potency retinol in combination with ZO Firming Serum Accelerator to get optimal skin firming and reduction in lines. 

  • Brightening  Combining skin needling with ZO brightalive and ZO Brightening Serum Accelerator can increase the skins luminosity, reduce pigmentation, and promote an even skin tone & glowing skin 

  • Anti Redness Combining skin needling with ZO Rozatrol Serum Accelerator we can reduce redness in the skin, reduce surface oil and shine, reduce skin sensitivity by hydrating and soothing the skin,

    Full benefits of these treatments  are appreciated after 2-3 facials . These facials can be carried out 3-4 weeks apart.
