Skin Peels
A peel is most effective when used in conjunction with the correct skin care regime and we believe in preparing the skin before treatment and most importantly providing our clients with products post treatment to heal and repair the skin.
At Queensway Skin Clinic our skin peels are carried out by Clinicians Dr Uzma Olbrich and Dr Rebecca Hierons using the ZO Skinhealth medical range.
Ossentials Stimulator Peel
This one is better known as the 'red carpet' peel because of its popularity in LA before red carpet events. With little or no redness and peeling afterwards, just a nice subtle fresh glow – this one is perfect if you are looking to try your first peel.
The ZO Stimulator peel uses three effective exfoliating ingredients together, salicylic, lactic and citric acid to remove dead skin cells and superficial imperfections to reveal brighter, clear skin underneath. You may choose to have this treatment as a one off, or for maximum results a course of 3-6 treatments would be recommended.
We can also combine this peel with microneedling to achieve a deeper more significant therapy
The 3-Step Stimulation Peel
The ZO 3-step peel is a highly effective medium strength peel which treats skin ageing, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, fine lines, uneven texture, large pores, dullness and acne.
Utilising a blend of 10% TCA(trichloroacetic acid), lactic acid, salicylic acid , and high dose retinol (6%)
It is indicated for patients of any skin type, requiring a more potent skin peel but with minimal downtime (3-5 days).
So that the skin can tolerate the peel, we would recommend that skin is prepared with a medical grade skin pre-conditioning program prior to the application of the peel to improve skin health and to accelerate healing. We recommend 3 treatments and then annual top ups for optimal results.
The Controlled Depth Peel
Otherwise known as the 'blue peel', this is a highly effective full strength peel that will maximally tighten, brighten and resurface the skin. Using 30% TCA, it is indicated for deep skin restoration and treatment of specific skin disorders that require full exfoliation and complete cell renewal.
Due to the exfoliating effects of this peel, a 7-10 day recovery period is to be expected.
So that the skin can tolerate the peel, we would recommend that skin is prepared with a medical grade skin pre-conditioning program prior to the application of the peel to improve skin health and to accelerate healing.
